Spoiler alert: thoughtful team building is a must!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Field Composition: <\/strong>7 on 7, using WFDF Gender Ratio Rule A<\/li>\n<li><strong>Format:\u00a0<\/strong>Wager\u00a0Ranking System<\/li>\n<li><strong>When:\u00a0<\/strong>Games run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June 6th until August 24th. Game times are 5:30pm \u2013 6:55pm and 7:00pm \u2013 8:25pm.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Playoff Day:<\/strong> Saturday August 26th<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cost:\u00a0<\/strong>$60 per person + $30 UNL fee per person (UNL fee covers all leagues spanning June 1, 2023-May 31, 2024)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Registration:\u00a0<\/strong> Begins: April 7th, noon \/ Ends: May 26th, midnight<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jerseys:<\/strong> Included with registration fee. <strong>In order to receive a jersey, you must register before April 28th<\/strong>. Add some extra Ultimate to your week, at no added cost! We&#8217;re happy to announce our Wednesday Summer Hat League:<\/p>\n<h2>Details:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>7v7 w\/ WFDF Gender rule A<\/li>\n<li>8 teams<\/li>\n<li>Up to 18 players per team. We have space for 72 female matching players and 72 male matching players.<\/li>\n<li>7 regular season games<\/li>\n<li>3 weeks of playoffs<\/li>\n<li>No Additional Cost! (must be registered in the standard MZU Summer League)<\/li>\n<li>Rain-outs will<strong> not<\/strong> be rescheduled, except during playoffs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>FAQ<\/h2>\n<h3>1. How can I join?<\/h3>\n<p>You must be registered in MZUxQV Summer League. During registration, answer <strong>\u2018Yes\u2019<\/strong> to <strong>\u201cDo you want to enter the draft for the 2023 Wednesday Summer Hat League?\u201d<\/strong> in the summer league registration questionnaire.<\/p>\n<h3>2. How does the draft work?<\/h3>\n<p>8 GMs will draft teams in a snake style draft. GMs can start with either gender match as their 1st pick, but must alternate gender match with each subsequent pick.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Can I be a GM?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes \u2013 Email <a href=\"mailto:vpleague@milezeroultimate.com?subject=Wednesday%20Summer%20Hat%20League%20-%20GM%20Application\">vpleague@milezeroultimate.com<\/a> to be added to the GM List.<\/p>\n<h3>4. What if more than 8 GMs volunteer?<\/h3>\n<p>We will draw names.<\/p>\n<h3>5. What if more than 72 players of either gender register?<\/h3>\n<p>We will draw 72 names from the registered player pool and teams will be drafted from those players.<\/p>\n<h3>6. What if less than 72 players of either gender register?<\/h3>\n<p>We will adjust the team composition and\/or on field ratio if need be to keep to 8 teams.<\/p>\n<h3>7. Can I be a GM and a player?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes, but as a player other GMs can draft you to their team. You will not automatically be on the team you are drafting.<\/p>\n<h3>8. I\u2019m a GM, once the draft is over what do I need to do?<\/h3>\n<p>Nothing! Once teams are formed there will be no trades and you will play with the team you have been drafted to. Be sure to spectate and cheer on your team!<\/p>\n<h3>9.
