MZU x QV – 2023 Winter Hat League

Please read through all of the details to determine which of the three divisions you would like to register for!
Players are allowed to register for 2 divisions (if they are looking for double the fun!), but players cannot register for both 4v4 divisions, as those play at the same time.
League Dates: Monday nights, from January 9 2023 to February 27, 2023 (8 weeks) at the Techniplex
Registration is Closed.
Age requirement for all divisions: must be 18+ as of December 31, 2023
6v6 Recreational Division
- Recreational division welcoming players of any and all skill levels
- Gender ratio: 3 female-matching and 3 male-matching on the field at all times *May change based on registration numbers.
- Speed Point format
- Registration capped at 84 female-matching and 84 male-matching
- Game times (55 minute games): 8-8:55pm and 10:00-10:55pm
- Cost: $70 per player (plus Ultimate NL membership, if applicable)
- 8 weeks. 8 unique opponents.
- Can register solo or with a partner
4v4 Recreational Division
- Recreational division welcoming players of any and all skill levels
- Gender ratio: 2 female-matching and 2 male-matching on the field at all times
- 4v4 format, using the rules listed here
- Registration capped at 50 female-matching and 50 male-matching
- Game times: 9:00-9:55pm
- Cost: $36 per player (plus Ultimate NL membership, if applicable)
- 8 weeks. 8 unique opponents.
- Can register solo or with a partner
4v4 Competitive Division
- Competitive division welcoming players that self-identify as intermediate and advanced skill level
- Gender ratio: 2 female-matching and 2 male-matching on the field at all times
- 4v4 format, using the rules listed here
- Registration capped at 40 female-matching and 40 male-matching
- Game times: 9:00-9:55pm
- Cost: $36 per player (plus Ultimate NL membership, if applicable)
- 5 week regular season (5 unique opponents). 3 weeks of playoffs.

If you have not played in a MZU, SWURL, MAUL, SOUL, or Ultimate NL league since May 2022, please purchase your Ultimate NL membership here.
We have been made aware that our messaging earlier this week may not have properly articulated our goals for this league. We do know and believe competition is a core part of the game. We are simply hoping that a step away from season-long contention in this league allows us to focus on week by week player improvement. We will also be providing resources on SOTG and league rules to facilitate this learning. Thank you, as always, for the feedback.
